Easy Banana Pudding Parfaits
4 servings
This parfait dessert is so easy to make but looks like you
spent hours making it and it tastes delicious. Just use some vanilla wafers, one banana, a package of banana pudding
and a can of whipped cream topping
Ingredients
Cookie crust:
1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
3 tablespoons butter, melted
One banana, sliced
Banana pudding:
Package of banana pudding mix
2 cups milk
Can of whipped topping
Directions:
To make the crust place some vanilla wafer cookies in a food
processor or blender and chop them until they are crumbs to make one cup. (Or
just put them between a couple of pieces of waxed paper and use a rolling pin
to crush them.) In a microwave safe bowl
place the butter and process in a microwave until melted. In a small bowl combine the cookie crumbs and
melted butter and mix until all the crumbs are coated with the butter. Place an equal amount in each dessert cup and
flatten with the back of a spoon.
Follow package directions to make the pudding which usually
requires adding 2 cups of milk. Remove
the pan from the heat. Pour the pudding
into a bowl and immediately place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the pudding
to prevent a skin from forming. Let cool for about ½ an hour then place in the
refrigerator and chill for a couple of hours.
Slice the banana into about ¼ inch thick slices and place an
equal amount into each of the four dessert dishes. Scoop the cooled pudding over the sliced
banana placing an equal amount in each of the dessert dishes.
Top the banana pudding with the whipped cream. Serve immediately or cover and store in the
refrigerator until ready to serve.
