If you like chicken fried steak you will also love these
chicken fried burgers. You will just
love the taste of these even if you haven’t tried chicken fried steak. They are juicy, tender and tasty.
Ingredients
1 pound chuck ground beef
¾ cups flour
¼ cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1 sleeve of round crackers, crushed
Oil for frying
Directions
In a shallow bowl or dish place the flour. In another bowl place the milk and egg and mix
well. In another bowl place the crushed
crackers.
Shape the ground beef into four equal size patties. First coat the burgers well with the
flour. Then dip the burgers into the
milk and egg mixture. Finally place the
burgers into the cracker crumbs and coat them well.
Pour enough oil into a large skillet so that it is
about 1/8 to ¼ inch deep. When the oil
is hot carefully place the burgers into the pan. Fry the burgers for about 7 minutes per
side. The crumb coating should be golden
brown and juice from the burgers should be clear.
Serve the burgers with mashed potatoes or noodles and
a vegetable for a complete meal.
Eat and enjoy!
Note
A spoon will make coating the burgers easier.
