Meatball Sub Sandwiches

About 30 1 ½ inch meatballs

These meatballs are perfect for making sub sandwiches or serving
with spaghetti and sauce.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 slice white bread, cubed

½ cup milk

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Parsley flakes

1 minced clove garlic

1 egg, beaten

1 ½ teaspoons salt

½ teaspoon pepper

Submarine rolls or sandwich rolls or cooked
spaghetti

1 jar favorite spaghetti sauce

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375° and prepare a rimmed
baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.

Cut the bread into ¼ inch cubes and soak it in the
milk.

Combine the ground meat, seasonings and bread in a
large bowl and gently mix.  Form the meat
into balls with your hands or use a cookie or meatballer utensil to form
uniform size meatballs.  Place the
meatballs on a parchment lined rimmed baking pan and place in the oven for
about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat a jar of your favorite spaghetti
sauce in a large pot.  Place the cooked
meatballs into the sauce, cover and cook on low for about an hour.  Serve the meatballs on the sub rolls with a
scoop of sauce and sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.  Or serve with spaghetti or pasta.

Notes

You can use a combination of meats in addition to
beef such as veal, pork or turkey.

The meatballs can be one to two inches in size
depending on your preference.
