Hollandaise Hamburgers
4 hamburgers
This is
a tasty twist on hamburgers which uses Hollandaise sauce. Add a fried egg and some cooked bacon slices to
this burger to turn this into a great brunch item.
Ingredients
1 ½ pounds chuck ground beef
Salt and pepper
1 envelope Hollandaise sauce mix
Milk (optional)
4 Fried eggs
4 bacon slices, cooked and broken in half
4 hamburger buns
Directions
Form the ground beef
into 4 patties. Gently flatten and shape
the patties and create a slight thumb indentation into them. This will help keep
the burgers from puffing up and becoming rounded instead of flat. Sprinkle the
patties with salt and pepper.
When ready to cook, grill the burgers on well-oiled grates if cooking
outside. Otherwise cook on a grill pan
indoors that has been sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray. Cook until done to desired level. Do not
press down on the burgers! Toast buns if desired.
Follow
package directions to make the hollandaise sauce. Instead of using water you can use milk to
make the sauce creamier if you so choose.
Place
the cooked burger on the bottom of the bun and add the bacon, fried egg and
hollandaise sauce and place the top of the bun on the burger.
Serve
immediately with plenty of napkins.
Note:
Adjust the
seasonings to your taste.
